Thanks. ________________________________ EMPLOYER RELATIONS COORDINATOR Department: Career Development Employment Group: Administration The Career Development department is seeking an Employer Relations Coordinator to assume the responsibility of employer affairs, recruitment, and activities that are associated with employment events and programs. Reporting to the Director of the department, the Coordinator will develop and maintain employer relationships that expand the range of recruiting activities for jobs and internships for Barnard students and alumnae. S/he will also supervise the dissemination of information and the operational procedures that will ensure a clear understanding of policies and obligations by both students and employers. The Coordinator is required to stay informed of national, state, and local hiring practices and also with technology that relates to the recruitment process. In addition, the Coordinator will serve as a representative of the College to corporations, non-profit organizations, and governmental agencies for the express purpose of employment opportunities and participation. The ideal candidate will have a master's degree (or one in progress) in Business or Student Personnel Administration in Higher Education with 2 to 3 years of counseling, teaching, advising, or related experience. Excellent verbal, written and presentation skills, especially the ability to work well with the public, are required. Strong interpersonal and computer skills are also necessary.
