I* also wd like to invite you to see "**Der Rosenkavalier," a Met HD
broadcast? It's this Weds, @ 6:30*
* @ Clark's Pond Cinema.** It's one of my favorite operas and composer with
spectacular, spine chilling moments of sound. * *"Strauss...used a more
lush, melodic late Romantic style...exhibiting immense virtuosity in
orchestral writing and tone color. This resulted in operas such as Der
Rosenkavalier *(1911) ..." Wikipedia.* It's also Renee Fleming's swan song
performance.*
The Met broadcasts are done beautifully taking the viewer backstage to see
sets & interviews w the leads, during intermission. I know u'd enjoy it if
ur able to make the time for it. It's long, 31/2 hrs but well-worth the
investment. We usually bring food & have a sorta surreptitious picnic.
