Dear Area Club.As you will have seen in the latest newsletter and Facebook
post I’m after some help to run an activity day at Warden park academy
(Cuckfield Sussex) to build and fly BMF Darts.There will be about 15 students
so I’m looking for 3 helpers on the 4th July at the school for 8.45 to
15:00.The provisional plan is.
Introduction to BMFA followed by showing a few models.
Show a YouTube video on Flight.
Split into groups to build the Darts. 4 students per helper.
There will be a RC simulator running while the builds happen to enable Glue to
set etc,Also while the Darts are being built “Build a Mini gilder” The Students
will be given a small piece of balsa sheet to design and build a small glider.
I will supply some examples helpers will offer advice on this.This should take
us up to lunch.After lunch we can Fly the Darts and have a competition for the
Mini Glider.A Teacher from the school will be present at all times so no CRB
certificate or equivalent will be required.
