The Loft Collective (formerly Little Loft) will be reopening in the fall in
its original location in Takoma Park with some exciting updates. The Loft
is a children's art studio and community space with classes and aftercare
program for children ages 2-12.
The curriculum centers on the power of art to impact change, with an
emphasis on local artists and social movements. There is a maker's space
being developed for middle schoolers who would like to learn sewing and
other fiber arts. The aftercare program is available to students at TPES
and PBES and provides a nurturing environment for art enrichment and a
creative haven for kids to connect and socialize after school. The Loft
Collective also plans to provide a parenting forum on raising engaged
children in a fragile democracy.

Grand (Re)Opening Celebration to learn more on Sunday, August 29, 10:00
am-1:00 pm with both indoor and outdoor activities available.
