Greetings,
Some of you may remember when I put a request on our listserv awhile ago for a
used car donation. This was for an asylum seeker who attends my congregation,
www.cpcchurch.org. He did, in fact, receive a donated van, which he's been
using to make deliveries to support himself (and his mother and children back
home).
Unfortunately, this man was the victim of a carjacking in PG County two weeks
ago and is now back at square one. Thus, I ask you:
1. If anyone knows of a car or van that can be donated, please let me know.
2. If you don't know of a car or van to donate, I'm guessing many of us have
containers of unused "leftover" change we'll never use. Thus, I'm inviting you
to donate these to help him. I'm putting a bin on my front patio and will check
it regularly to avoid theft.
