Hello everyone,

Made to Save is an national organization focused on vaccine education, but
they also are involved with other components related to the pandemic. Next
week is their Back to School Week and they've encouraged local
organizations to come up with ideas.

When the Silver Spring Citizens Advisory Board sponsored a similar event
during Inauguration week, this community stepped up BIG TIME - providing an
entire van load of winter clothing, food and even $700 in rent money to
support those in need. With this event, we are focused on Masks! We hoped
they wouldn't be needed come school time - and sadly with the Delta
variant, they are. And they are NOT easy to come by in stores - for anyone,
but in particular our most vulnerable.

So, please consider signing up for the "event" below:

https://www.mobilize.us/madetosave/event/405476/

The event is really a chance to drop off masks (homemade are fine!) that
can be shared with kids that work with CHEER! Please contact Kelly Umana at
kelly@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx or call her at 240-277-6174 for more details!

THANK YOU!
