Hi,

I am looking for a small BSD and came to know about NomadBSD from
FreeBSD forums. NomadBSD is 2.5 GB compressed and 4.7 GB uncompressed.
I am looking for a BSD OS that is approximately 150 MB. All i need are

1) Terminal
2) classic VI editor
3) Geany( non VI users or any other notepad)
4) browser ( Firefox lite, preferably or a small size browser)
5) seamless copy/paste across terminal and browser

Can you please let me know if such an image of NomadBSD is possible?
This would be very helpful for me.

Note: I hope the latest versions of FreeBSD(12.1) is used as base.

Thanks,
Balaji.

Hey Balaji,

I don't think that shrinking down the OS to 150 MB is easily doable because the FreeBSD base system is already larger.
Possibly it could be done with the nanobsd script (https://docs.freebsd.org/en_US.ISO8859-1/articles/nanobsd/article.html) but after building it you need to add all NomadBSD specifics.
