Last week on 10/18 there were a lot of flickers here in the great western part
of the 'Neck. I counted at least 10 on a walk, and I could hear them all over.
I've also seen more sapsuckers, and the kinglets are back 😊
In addition, I had a short visit at the Wilna unit of the Rappahannock River
nature conservancy (whatever it's called). I didn't see many (kinglets, wrens,
chickadee, black & turkey vultures, sparrow sp.?,) but the highlight was a
northern harrier! So pretty.

Subject: [nnasnet] lots of flickers
There appears to have been a major flight of flickers through the area
overnight. We had several in the yard this morning and on my drive up our lane
on the way to work I counted 14 more. Some on the ground, some on the power
poles, some in mid-air. Did anyone else notice this?
