All,
Last month while birding not far from where I am staying in Wyoming. I
came across a Red-bellied Woodpecker. I observed her moving from tree to
tree till I had my fill. No big deal I thought, see them everyday back in
the Northern Neck.
Then I realized that eBird flagged it as Rare. While I had a camera in
hand, I did not take any photos of the woodpecker. So I had to turn around
and get a photo. Took me a while to locate the bird and I finally got a
photo.
Today I finally read an email from one of the eBird list folks and realized
that there have only been about a dozen reported sightings in the state of
Wyoming.
