A service of the Northern Neck Audubon Society---
I've been putting about 1/4 cup of crushed peanuts out each morning, in a
platform feeder on the stair railing. Then I stand inside and watch the parade
of 'snackers'. Usually I have to send the dog out to chase away the squirell.
All the usual birds, like chickadees and wrens come, but also the red bellied
woodpecker and bluebirds. Today, I was charmed by repeat visits from a white
breasted nuthatch!

I hope they all are repeat visitors during the GBBC in a couple of weeks. Be
sure to go online and register, practice and be ready. See you next week at
the meeting.
