KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south of Kilmarnock just off
Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.

Pardon me if I sound grumpy. But we are still mired in the worst start to
a season in my 10 years of monitoring. The monitoring teams are getting
mutinous. However, we do have our first babies of the season. Both
chickadee and bluebird. And something new in one of the boxes; our first
tufted titmouse nest of the season. This mother must have been desparate;
she barely got some nesting material in the box and has laid 2 eggs on the
bare bottom of the box. Good luck to her!

Here are the details:
Complete nest, no eggs: 1.
Bluebird eggs: 20?.
Chickadee eggs: ?.
Titmouse eggs: 2.
Bluebird young: 14 in 3 boxes.
Chickadee young: 14.
As in the past, the ? is for the instances of a female on the nest
preventing a complete count of eggs.
