[nnasnet] NNAS Monitoring of Bluebird Trail at KCGC/HQ -- April 14, 2014

KCGC is the King Carter Golf Course, located south of Kilmarnock just off
Irvington Road. HQ is Hills Quarter, the community associated with the
golf course. NNAS is the Northern Neck Audubon Society.
Today is the first day of monitoring this trail. Got rained out, last
week. Off to a good start. We found 3 boxes with partial nests and 21
boxes with complete nests. The completed nests held from 0 to 6 eggs for a
total of 58 eggs. Seven of the nests held 5 eggs, each.
In the 'other' category, there were 2 completed chickadee nests; one with 2
eggs and one with no eggs. One of the chickadee nests had been lined with
hunks of rabbit fur...........Tom
