Today I was out on the King Carter Bluebird Trail. I was half way through
and talking to some of the other folks out there in the parking lot.
A killdeer kept bothering us, coming up to us and dancing and then moving
away. Broken wing and all. A few minutes it would return and do the same
thing. I mentioned we must be close to the nest, but nobody could find it.
After I was done I noticed she was still in the area. Two minutes later,
viola, well camflaged 1 killdeer egg.
