Shirley's note below conveys a tiny bit of good news about the
Bobwhites in our area. A note from Chuck Mock, also from Sunday, reported a
Bobwhite walking through his yard around 6:30 A.M. In my own yard about a week
ago I heard several calling from the property across Leeds Creek from me. That
was the first calling heard from home since 2007. And a day later, Bob Mason
of Bozman heard quail from his home - the first time in several years. Perhaps
these little darlings are making a little bit of a comeback.

Hello everyone,
I am pleased that this morning I have heard Bobwhites on my property in various
areas, but very close in the back woods. I do usually have them every year. I
don't usually try to see them, don't want to frighten them off.
