Subject: Audubon Club Birdwalk of Monday, Dec. 14, 2015
Hi Reta,
Lance was able to go on the Birdwalk this past Monday, but I had
another engagement that I couldn't miss so here is his list of the birds
seen at George Washington's Birthplace. Frank Schaff led a group of 13
birders on a very mild day with temperatures up in the 60's.
These are the species seen: Canada Goose, Common Loon, Ruddy Duck,
Bald Eagle, Bufflehead, Mallard, Gadwall, Turkey Vulture, Belted Kingfisher,
American Robin, Red-winged Blackbird, American Crow, European Starling,
Tundra Swan, Double-crested Cormorant, Ring-billed Gull, Tufted Titmouse,
Northern Flicker, and Laughing Gull.
I hope you all have wonderful holidays filled with much joy and
happiness and lots of birdies!!!
Merry Christmas & Happy New year!
Maryalyce & Lance Johnsen
