A group of 25 members and guests met at the Shiloh School at 1:00 P.M. and then proceeded in car pools to Hughlett Point. It was a bit nippy with a breeze on the water but well worth it. Temperature was in the high 40's and mostly sunny. Here is the list of 24 species seen on the walk led by Frank Schaff: Common Grackle, Bald Eagle, Canada Goose, Mourning Dove, Great Blue Heron, Tundra Swan, Gadwall, Bufflehead, Ring-billed Gull, Surf Scoter, Herring Gull, Forster's Tern, Common Loon, Mute Swan, Turkey Vulture, Hooded Merganser, Red-breasted Merganser, American Coot, Bonaparte's Gull, Song Sparrow, Northern Pintail - (with good looks seen through Lance's scope), American Crow, Yellow-rumped Warbler, and as we left the beach a surprise that Linda Schaff found through her scope of a Horned Grebe. It felt good to be out on a Birdwalk after cancellations due to the snow. Happy Birding, Maryalyce J. Johnsen No virus found in this message.
