Alice,
The article has it wrong.
Trump may want clean water but he did not mean for everyone !!
It is like off shore drilling is good !!! Except for off Mar-A-Lago !!! Or
immigrants should not be allowed to bring family members into the USA , except
for Melania Trump’s parents.
Or we must bring American jobs and companies back to the USA --- Except for
Trump’s foreign business interests: 144 companies in 25 countries.

Dear Alice,
We could not have said it better ourselves! Wednesday, the Washington
Post's editorial "Why the Chesapeake Bay is the best in the world" featured the
recent rebounding of the Bay's underwater grasses—a resurgence not seen
anywhere else in the world.
The editorial rightly gives credit to federal action begun 10 years ago
for the Bay's pollution reduction. It is worth noting that the federal
action—an Obama Executive Order—settled a lawsuit brought by CBF against EPA
for failure to enforce the Clean Water Act.
The underwater grasses improvement along with the other
"record-setting" successes in the Bay could not have been possible without this
federal action and the Chesapeake Clean Water Blueprint. The very same effort
that the Trump Administration has threatened to eliminate. "President Trump has
repeatedly insisted that he wants 'crystal clear water,'" the editorial reads.
"The Chesapeake Bay's cleanup program is beginning to produce just that, and it
promises to demonstrate the value of efficient, market-based pollution
controls, too. Yet Mr. Trump zeroed out the program in his budget. Thankfully,
Congress appears poised to maintain funding."
The scientists who authored the underwater grasses study showed
conclusive evidence that the Blueprint is working. What's more, they directly
point to the Trump Administration's recent actions as threatening this
progress. It's a very rare thing for academics to wade into political affairs
like this!
This is too good of an editorial not to share. Please take a minute and
read it this weekend when you can.

P.S. If you haven't already, please take action right now to urge
Congress to maintain this critical support for Chesapeake restoration.
