I was lunching at the local Kilmarnock Subway, today, and ran into one of
the local residents, a 'born here'. He said. "I'm glad I ran into you. I
said that I must thank Tom Teeples when I see him." This fellow has just
discovered Hickory Hollow and has walked all the trails. He is in awe of
the location and called it a jewel. Robert helps to run one of the local
businesses and he is aware of the NN Audubon efforts to save Hickory
Hollow. It just felt so good to hear him bubbling over in his enthusiasm.
Then I went to the drugstore to get a birthday card. A lady (she looked
familiar but I do not know her name) came up to me excitedly telling me
that bluebirds are checking out her bluebird nesting box.
Definitely, a wonderful day!!.............Tom
