Subject: Special issue on GIA modeling (Geodesy and Geodynamics) - call for
papers
Dear colleagues,
We warmly invite you to submit a contribution to the special issue
“Glacio-Isostatic Adjustment models and their associated uncertainties”
opened by “Geodesy and Geodynamics”
and edited by Daniele Melini and Giorgio Spada.
The goal of this special issue is to address the state of the art in
Glacio-Isostatic Adjustment (GIA) models on both global and
regional scales, with a special focus on the evaluation of the associated
modeling uncertainties. We especially encourage the
submission of both original research or review papers dealing with:
*
numerical and analytical approaches to the description of GIA processes
throughout the last glacial cycle, and their application
to the inference of spatio-temporal evolution of ice sheets and/or
viscosity structure in the mantle;
*
evaluation of the sensitivity of GIA models to their input parameters,
including ice sheet chronology, Earth rheological profile,
and lateral variations of the internal structure of the Earth;
*
GIA models in the context of present-day, climate-driven sea level change
and its future projection in a global change scenario.
The deadline for paper submission is February 28, 2022.
A summary of the special issue can be found at this page:

Geodesy and Geodynamics is a world-class journal committed to the publication
of quality geoscientific research, especially in fields
such as geodesy, crustal deformation, geodynamics, geophysics, and
space-to-ground observation technology. It is indexed in Scopus,
ESCI, GeoRef Preview, DOAJ, CSCD databases. Geodesy and Geodynamics is an open
access journal, with all articles immediately and
permanently free for everyone to read and download on the ScienceDirect website
(http://www.sciencedirect.com/science/journal/16749847). Publication of papers
in Geodesy and Geodynamics is free of charge. For
further information, see:

Please feel free to forward this call for papers to your colleagues,
collaborators, and students.
Best regards,
Daniele Melini and Giorgio Spada
