Howard,
Do you know how to download this route in the format attached? Is it Ride with
GPS or some other format?
Thanks,
Ken

I checked out the route that David distributed below. I am not adverse to
doing this route, since it is 18 miles shorter than our normal route. However,
I have a couple of questions for David. I see the starting point is Summer
Road Park off 202. What are specifics about parking and driving instructions
once one is on 202? Second. I was able to print out the map, but is there a
cue sheet? Not inclined to do the ride without route instructions.
For those planning to ride. What are you thoughts re Colonial Park versus this
alternative route?

Click on the link in the previous email. That's my own copy of the route with
a shareable link. Let me know if it doesn't work.

I won't be able to make it because I'm doing the Bike NY Discovery Hudson ride.
Regarding the chip seal section, it would seem that it could be avoided by
turning left on Dutch Lane around mile 30 and taking that to Old York Rd which
turns into Amwell Rd. Around mile 36, rejoin the original route at Cider Mill
Rd. I've made an updated copy of the route if anyone is interested.

Hi Peter,
Thanx for the map. I did about half of this the week before last, starting
closer in at Readington. Note that coming out of Lambertville, miles 30 – 34
are on rough chip seal road. I’ve attached the route I did last week. It
doesn’t really add much distance, but that part of the route (roughly mile 20 –
25 on my map) is much smoother and actually a bit more scenic.

Subject: [njdawgs] Lambertville Ride, June 26th
I am attaching the map and cue sheet for Sunday June 26th Lambertville Ride,
celebrating 20 years since the Dawgs were formed for the 2002 Northeast AIDS
Ride. I estimate that during these 20 years we have done more than 700 group
rides covering a distance of over 24,500 miles, which is just shy of the
circumference of the earth. Of the original seven Dawgs who did the AIDS
Ride, five: Ken, Marvin, Ned, Peter and Paul, continue as regular Dawg riders.
More importantly during two decades of rides our ranks have grown several
times so the Dawgs are stronger than ever and only, on average, a wee bit
older. Not a bad record for a group that's only organizational structure is an
e-mail list and two club riding jerseys.
This is a 58 mile ride. I would suggest that we plan for a 9:30 start from
Colonial Park, Parking Lot B (note the parking lot, there are several in the
park). Google maps estimates that it is about a 45-minute drive from South
Orange.

During the week before June 26th, please Confirm your participation, so that we
can make sure that we don't leave anyone behind.
FYI my cell phone is 973 879 9911.
If any of the original dawgs can find photographs from the AIDS ride, brings
bring them, so we can circulate them at the start of the ride.
Finally, I will not be riding this weekend. I will leave it to others to post
weekend rides.
