You are most welcome Louie. By now you have probably also received my note on them troublesome split buttons and are still shaking your head as I am.. lol.. It appears that they only lead you to menus and have no other purpose. I hope that others on the list will throw in their 2 cents, if they have experiende or first hand knowledge of what to do with them. I currently use a Bluetooth headset with my I Phone but no longer have one for my house phone. It was so very handy when trying to talk and work on the computer at the same time. I should look into another just for that purpose. You're doing so awesome already,on your own, in finding the solutions to the new changes in 2013. Very cool!! In their wisdom, Microsoft has made 2013, once again, so very different even from 2010, which is what I am using. I can manage to stumble on some quote-unquote consistent settings in the options menus to make things a little more accessible but they sure don't make it easy! Like you know, it is a matter of trial and error and experimenting with all the known keystrokes sometimes, to figure out how to navigate a new window. We'll definitely be looking forward to hearing about your continued exploits through office 2013. Best. Hi, Marie, I just wanted to say thank you again for calling me and trying to help me with my computer problems. I think I'm really going to look around to see if I can find some kind of headset for my telephone. I used to have one years ago. I was really missing it last night when you called. Did you ever try one? But things are improving slowly, daily. This morning, for example, I discovered in options, that I could get rid of that annoying list of templates that was coming up on the first screen of MS Word, just by checking one of those options. The Options list was right there on that first screen. Also, thanks to you, I've found my Sent, Out, and Deleted boxes in Outlook. And I've found my Libraries and My Favorites entries in a different place from the first file list in Windows Explorer. For some strange reason, when you bring up Windows Explorer, the first list you land on no longer has all of those entries listed above the Hard Drive, which is where the list begins in that first list. But, if you tab over four or five times, you come to the full list. So, I'm just tabbing five times every time I bring up Windows Explorer, and just keep tabbing each time I return to it if it's still in the Tab-order. And something is different about the way Windows Explorer works, too, in that the way tabbing and right- or left-arrowing work that's not quite the way I remember it. But not differently enough to get me lost. I expect I'll figure that out with practice. Now that I have your address in Outlook, I'll be in touch as soon as I find a Split Button I want to exploit. Thanks again, Marie.
