objective has been defined as “toidentify and facilitate the removal of
obstacles that prevent children fromenjoying their rights and participating
fully in Indonesian society”. The organisation’s purpose is to “strive fora
just world that advances children’s rights and equality for girls”. This
goalwill be achieved by providing technical support and implementing
qualityprograms and projects through partnership. An effective and
efficientcommunications strategy is a must for Plan Indonesia to share the
outcomes ofthese projects to influence different actors, specially state
authorities andto position Plan’s profile within and outside at different
levels – startingfrom community, sub district, district to national, regional

Dimensions of theRole
The Project Manageroversees the overall implementation of the results-driven
project in Indonesiawhich cover national and provincial level, in which the
selected provinces areCentral Java (Tegal) and North Sulawesi (Bitung) in
collaboration withimplementing partner with the specific roles including:
- Ensuring effective and efficient management of the overall programme,
which includes maintaining constructive relationships with key stakeholders and
the donor in country
- Driving strategic conversations around advocacy and impact, thereby
contributing to sustainable programme outcomes
- Ensuring effective project management by maintaining the delivery of
appropriate technical, operational and financial outputs, while tracking the
project progress through monitoring, evaluation and reporting;
- Maintaining effective working relationships with project partners and Plan
International United States through effective communication, consultation and
reporting;
- Aligning the projects implementation with Plan International principles
of safeguarding of children and young people and gender transformative approach.
Technicalexpertise, skills and knowledge
Essential
a. Undergraduate degree inpolicy administration, social fields orother
related field in the promotion of decent work and prevention offorced labours
and person in trafficking
b. Minimum of 5 years ofexperience in project management, including
budget management, monitoring andevaluation and quality project reporting
c. Minimum of 3 yearsexperienced in policy advocacy and campaign
project.
d. Demonstrate knowledge inworking with Government agencies/offices and
Private Sectors.
e. Demonstrated knowledge ininternational development tools: program
logic, Monitoring, and communityempowerment
f. Demonstrate knowledge ofdomestic laws related to labour and human
trafficking
g. Demonstrated knowledge ofgender transformative approach, gender-based
violence, child rights, and inclusion
h. Affinity to work with andfor young people on economicempowerment
i. Understanding ofIndonesia Government policies, laws, and
institutions in relation to fishing industries
j. Good oral and writtencommunication skills in English and Bahasa
Indonesia
k. Ability to providetechnical guidance and support staff
l. Ability to functionefficiently and effectively with little
day-to-day supervision
m. Demonstrated skillsproblem solving and people’s management.
