Dear Potential Bidders,
Nutrition International (NI) has beenimplementing high-impact, high-coverage
health, and nutrition initiatives forvulnerable communities in Indonesia since
2006. NI’s priority objectives inIndonesia include the survival and health of
children, adolescent girls,pregnant and lactating women as well as women of
reproductive age, primarilythrough improved coverage and use of key
micronutrients, such as vitamin A,zinc, iron and folic acid as well as wheat
flour fortification and iodizedsalt.
Nutrition International has been supporting the Ministry of Health(MOH),
Government of Indonesia in implementing Weekly Iron and Folic Acid(WIFA)
supplementation for adolescent girls at school since 2015. Starting fromthe
demonstration project in two districts, the support has been scaled up tocover
three provinces (Banten, West Java, and East Nusa Tenggara) to datethrough
various projects from different donor funding. Nutrition Internationalprovides
electronic-based distance courses at the global platform accessible toas wide
community as possible. Among these courses is the Adolescent Nutritionand
Anaemia (ANA) course, which has been translated into Bahasa Indonesia.
Nutrition International is very enthusiastic about providing anunderstanding
of how to support the improvement of adolescent nutrition andwants to promote
this series of courses to a wider audience in NutritionInternational's work
area, including in Indonesia. In addition, NutritionInternational hopes that
through this online course, adolescent health andnutrition will be increasingly
recognized and included in the Asian developmentagenda.
NutritionInternational is planning to conduct a half-day launch event in form
of awebinar, inviting stakeholders from national and sub-national level. There
willbe endorsement from the government, testimonials from users, and
presentationfrom resource persons, following opening speech. Therefore,
NutritionInternational seeks support of local agency to facilitate conduct of
thislaunching event of the translated online ANA course.
