Statement of Work
General Description
The Project Manager is supervisedby the Director of Management and Operations
who oversees the task assignedby the Training Manager (TM) and the General
ServicesManager (GSM). Workingin collaboration with the TM, the Project Manager
ensuresthe availability of community center building and readiness of the
community, stakeholders and host families in Mojosari. Working in collaboration
with the GSM, the Project Manager ensuressmooth transition of Peace Corps staff
to PST site in Mojosarias well as prepares suppliesand transportation.
The Project Manager will plan, organize,and successfully completethe transition
of Pre‐ Service Training (PST) to the new site in Mojosari;ensuring it is on
time, on budget, and within scope. He/she will oversee the “project life
cycle,” which consists of five phases: Initiating, Planning, Executing,
Monitoring and Controlling, and Closing. This project will last approximately
15 months; beginningin the spring/summer of 2021 and ending in the summer/fall
of 2022. PST in Mojosariwill require proper preparation of the communitycenter
building, the community, the stakeholders, host families, Peace Corps staff
transitions, security,supplies, transportation, and funding. This project will
require daily meetings and communications with various stakeholders in Mojosari
and Surabaya.
Main Tasks and Deliverables
Initiating Duties:
n Understand and finalize the main objectives of the project, its purpose,
and its scope
n Identify key internal and external stakeholders
n Discuss shared expectations with stakeholders and build relationships
n Gain the required authorization necessary to move forward at each step
n Define and share the project’s criteria for success
Planning Duties:
n Work with key stakeholders to create an integrated project plan focused on
attainingthe outlined goals
n Oversee the scope, cost, timelines, risk, quality issues, and
communications
n Outline key deliverables and milestones and identify the tasks that must be
completed throughout the project
n Produce planning documents
Executing Duties:
n Ensure key stakeholders complete the work that has been identified in the
projectplan
n Facilitate issue resolution
n Lead the stakeholders in working through project changes
Monitoring and Controlling Duties:
n Monitor the progress of a project from the beginningof the project through
closing
n Ensure the projectstays on budget
n Ensure that key milestones are reached on time
n Compare actual performance against planned/scheduled performance
n Communicate possible adjustments to key stakeholders as soon as possible
Closing Duties:
n Ensure all activities necessary to achieve the final resultare completed
n Work with the key stakeholders to get formalsign‐off that the project is
complete
n Acknowledge achievements of personnel who contributed to the project
n Review the work of third‐party vendors or partners in order to close their
contracts
n Archive project files for futurereference and use
n After the project has been completed create a post‐implementation review to
identifykey lessons learned
Qualification
Minimum Requirements:
At a minimum, the successful candidate’s CV must demonstrate the following:
n Education/Certification: College Degree in Business Management
n Years of Experience: A minimum of 2 years of project management experience
n Proficiency in oral and written English and Bahasa Indonesia.
n Experience working in a cross‐cultural environment.
n Knowledge of MS Office computer applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Preferred Qualifications:
n Degree in ProjectManagement
n Residence in Mojosari
