Responsible andSustainable Business in Indonesia Palm Oil Plantations
(RESBOUND) is athree-year project which aim to strengthen village development
in palm oilplantation areas. The program uses an inclusive approach by
buildingpartnerships between palm oil companies and the village government, in
order toaccelerate village development focusing on economic and social
rightsfulfilment. RESBOUND is a program implemented by a consortium of civil
societyorganizations including ICCO, Pusat Kajian dan Perlindungan Anak (PKPA)
andPENABULU and now enteres the second year of implementation.
Responsibilityof the Project Manager
- Representingthe project to stakeholder.
- Activity and resource planning.
- Organizing and motivating thepartners and at least 6 staff members
form partner implementation organizations
- Controlling timely delivery ofmilestones
- Cost estimating, developing thebudget and keeping oversight of the
different financial funnels.
- Ensuring donor satisfaction byengaging with the keys persons on a
regular basis.
- Analyzing and managing project riskand identifying solutions
- Monitoring progress
- Coordinating and facilitatingmeetings and events with relevant
stakeholders and according to specificmethodologist (e.g Lobby & Advocacy tools)
- Communicating about the progressthough media
The project manager will work under supervision ofIndonesia Country Program
Coordinator. The working location will be in Jakarta,Bali and North Sumatra and
West Kalimantan province with regular field trips. Theday to day working place
is based in Jakarta.
Qualifications:
- Knowledgeable about human right andthe palm oil sector in Indonesia
- Expertise in working with differentorganizations (NGO, government,
donor, private company, press/journalist, eventorganiser) and certain
flexibility in working atmosphere and multi-cultureuniquness
- Expertise in strategic and effectivecommunication with European
donors, Indonesian government (central andprovincial) and partners
(international organization, national organization,local university, local
peoples and researchers).
- Commitment, trusable and dedicativeupon workload, responsibility and
sense of crises while in balance withcreativity for problem solution.
- High level facilitator andfacilitation ability, strong intuition, and
easy-going person.
- extrovert and reciprocalpersonalityacross all differentiation
- Ability to perform programmaticsupport to ICCO Indonesia programme as
lead agency.
Minimum Requirement
- University degree plus professional experience in project management in
donorfunded projects
- Female is encourage to apply, a fastlearner and friendly communicative
for daily use
- Familiarity to the lobby, advocacy,negotiation and conflict resolution
knowledge.
- Excellent oral and writtencommunication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and
English.
