The Sustainability and Value Added in Agricultural Supply Chains inIndonesia
(SASCI+) is a five-year project conducted on behalf of the GermanFederal
Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) as a part ofthe
“Special Initiative Transformation of Agricultural and Food Systems” (AGER).The
program promotes the sustainability of selected agricultural supply chainsin
partner countries and is implemented by the Deutsche Gesellschaft
fürInternationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH.
Sustainable Landscape Initiative in Kutai Timur (SUSTAIN) is amulti-actor
initiative to strengthen the capacity of the East Kutai DistrictGovernment,
local communities, smallholders, workers, and plantation companiesin
transforming Kutai Timur to be a sustainable region in agriculture (with afocus
on palm oil and rubber) production.
The RPP ANKT has also identified indicative Areas of HCV outside ofconcessions,
going beyond the HCV area covered in the Bupati Degree. However,those
additional HCV areas are not clearly defined and promoted for protectionamongst
the district authorities. Therefore, the roles and responsibilities ofdifferent
stakeholders for managing HCV areas inside and outside need to beclarified and
the necessary refinement of the RPP ANKT additionally requirescapacity
development measures on HCV management and the regulatoryframework.
GIZ SASCI+ is seeking a consulting company/organization to providecapacity
development and refinement of the RPP ANKT. The details of services are set
forth in the attachedTerm of Reference and other annexes.
