YOUR NEW OPPORTUNITY
Build Change is seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to join its
teamin Indonesia. The Marketing and Communications Officer will represent
BuildChange and its interests in the country. The position will be expected to:
- Support the Partnerships Manager in developing and implementing the Build
Change / Yayasan Bangunan Cemerlang Indonesia (YBCI) advocacy and communication
strategy and plans.
- Develop, manage, and advance all of Build Change (YBCI) advocacy and
promotion content including but not limited to audio visuals material, web, and
social media sites.
- Design promotional and advocacy collateral materials for printing and
distribution.
- Develop partnerships with public and private key stakeholders at local,
national and international level, including government agencies, private
sector, and institutional donors.
- Represent and promote Build Change (YBCI) at local and national forums
including conferences, government, public or private partner events and
meetings.
- Develop guidelines and speaking points for all staff as needed, as well as
train staff where necessary in good communications practice.
- Ensure a clear and effective communications strategy exists within and
across all Build Change departments.
- Produce a consistent flow of Build Change (YBCI) publications and ensure
contributions from all Build Change (YBCI) teams.
- Prepare press releases, media statements and other similar communications
materials to promote Build Change’s advocacies in Indonesia.
- Manage promotion events for Build Change (YBCI) as required.
OUR IDEAL CANDIDATE:
You are thoroughly committed to Build Change’s mission and have
provenleadership and relationship management experience. You are an
exceptionallydriven individual with proven strategic communication experience,
advocacy andmarketing skills, and a continued desire to grow and learn. You
should befamiliar with housing issues, policy for development, and can
understand andarticulate fundamental concepts of disaster risk management.
Your experiences include:
● Bachelordegree or an advanced university degree in Communication,
Marketing, orEducation Communication, or related discipline, with at least 5
years ofprofessional experience. First level university degree and
qualifyingexperience of over 7 years is also acceptable.
● Excellencein advocacy, marketing, public relations, and/or fundraising,
with the abilityto engage a wide range of stakeholders and cultures in the
country.
● Effectivelyleading and executing result-and-impact-based communication
strategy, operatingin-person and online campaign, and managing the data
gathering and analysis forcampaign result monitoring and evaluation.
● Experiencein policy and financing for development as well as advocacy
for awareness forrisk reduction.
You are able to:
● Communicateclearly, persuasively and passionately, in both written and
verbal forms ofBahasa Indonesia and English, with excellent interpersonal
skills.
● Whileworking remotely, be based in the Greater Jakarta area and able to
travelwithin the country as needed during the contract duration.
● Workeffectively and cohesively incollaboration with diverse groups of
people.
● Ensurecoherence and consistency in spite of urgent deadlines.
