The ASEAN Youth Forum (AYF) is a regional movement that represents and
advocates for young people’s human rights and freedoms in ASEAN. AYF has been a
platform of the youth in the ASEAN to raise their voice and claim for their
rights for a sustainable, inclusive, people-centered, and youth-driven regional
community. The network aims to institutionalise and establish its national
chapters to focus the engagement on important and timely local issues affecting
Southeast Asian youth, and consolidate policy proposal and agenda to put
forward to the relevant ASEAN offices.
Currently Asean Youth Forum is looking for enthusiastic candidates for the
following position:
1. Advocacy Officer
(7 months contract), Indonesia Based, Full Time
Key Skills:
Strong analytical skills, good communication skills both oral and written,
strong diplomatic and nurturing partnership skills, write high-quality advocacy
materials
Qualification:
Has a good understanding of youth activism and advocacy, strong understanding
of human rights, and experience in regional advocacy, proficiency in writing
advocacy materials, ability to represent the organisation in a variety of
regional networking
Responsibilities:
1.Develop and implement strategies to support AYF advocacy and campaign
2.Build and maintain effective communication and relationship with partners and
media alliances
3.Provide advice and expertise on regional advocacy analysis to the team
4.Organize knowledge and capacity building on advocacy for youth
5.Produce advocacy materials
6.Support Regional Coordinator with the development of funding proposals, and
reporting to donor and other stakeholders
2. Community Engagement Officer
(7 months contract), Indonesia Based, Full Time
Key Skills:
Strong analytical skills, good communication skills both oral and written,
knowledge of community development and engagement, technology skills
Qualification:
Experience in manage social media account of an organization, strong know how
of digital analytics, design tools, and other social media tools, experience in
volunteer management and community organizing, familiarity with asset-based
and/or social impact design approaches to community development & volunteerism,
passionate working with young people
Responsibilities:
1.Build and nurture youth communities in Southeast Asia countries
2.Develop AYF’s engagement strategy for youth communities
3.Collaborate with Coordinator and Team Members to establish AYF’s necessary
youth bodies
4.Lead the strategies and manage AYF’s social media platforms
5.Collaborate with Program Manager & Advocacy Manager to develop and produce
youth empowering content
6.Manage AYF’s database and knowledge
