Subject: [WWWEDU] Resource for Tablet PC / Laptop Schools

WWWEduers:

Our school is currently in the process of creating a program which will
provide Tablet PCs to all of our students and teachers.

I have visited many different schools this year and have gathered an
extensive amount of information about what other people are doing. There
seems to be a lot of people doing interesting and creative things, but
many of us who are just getting started don't have a place to go to find
out about them . I have set up a mailing list at Yahoo Groups called
eduScribe. The intent of this list will be to share information about
the use of Tablet computers in schools, but people who have or are in
the process of implementing laptop programs are also welcome to join.
I'm hoping to follow this up with a web site that functions as a
clearing-house of information related to ubiquitous computing programs
in schools.

I hope you and any of your interested colleagues will join me. You can
subscribe by sending a blank eMail to:
  EduScribe-subscribe@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Yahoo members can subscribe through the yahoogroups website:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/EduScribe

Please pass this message on to anyone else who might be interested.

Best Regards,
Trevor
