Greetings, You may also wish to check with the larger Boards of Health to see if they have their own analytical facilities or that they contract out side services. I have found them most helpful, and most were willing to host a "field trip" for interested students and teachers. There maybe even grants to pay for expenses under the recent STEM Education initiative. The Industrial, Military, and Private sectors are needing a skilled workforce that is STEM Literate, and will pay top dollar for qualified applicants. Best regards, Ted. My students 'job shadow' for three days in March, and a few are looking for a job site involving analytical chemistry. A placement in Maine would be ideal, but other New England sites might be possible. Does anybody have any leads and/or contact information that I could pass on? Thanks very much.
