Huzzah! Good to hear from you Andy. Just the other day I was looking through
some old emails I had sent on this and other PBEM. I realized that I was in my
early twenties when I started and now I'm in my mid thirties... Yikes!
I'm up for trying to get things rolling again in whatever capacity that anybody
else wants to.

Another year goes by, and more changes for everyone, I expect. I know it's
been a year, but I read everyone's replies last year, and I was happy to see
that for the most part, you were all happy and healthy. Since I last wrote,
I've transitioned twice at work, and both my wife, Jennifer, and her father
have had some medical upsets. They are both on the mend, and we are doing
fine. Life goes on.
Believe it or not, I haven't forgotten my pledge to post the old Web site
pages or archive all the postings.
As a matter of fact, one of my goals today is to finally, at last, announce
that I will kick off a post on June 1, 2010, to lead in to your Vanguard
posts! Long overdue, perhaps. Mea culpa, a thousand apologies, life went on,
as I said, and to make a small confession, there were times I wondered if I
had any of the old creative juice left, or if the Vanguard, or its mythos,
or the Star Trek mythos in general were spent.
My answer to that is: maybe not, if a major Hollywood production can be made
surrounding the Star Trek mythos, do as well as it did commercially and
critically, and on a more personal note, if I still think about the Vanguard
or our "adventures," then maybe there's something left here.
I hope you will participate. I have an intriguing idea or two, and I pledge
to you that I will respond to every email, every story post, and at the very
least, see the storyline through to a resolution.
Whether or not it will be the last Vanguard story or the start of a few
more, who knows? Maybe we can find out together. I apologize to you, many
times over, for the lack of communication, and maybe my home situation may
shed some light on why, even if my absence is hard to overlook or forgive.
Whether you write (play) or not, I hope I will hear from you, either
personally to my email address andywoho AT gmail DOT com, or to the list,
publicly. I hope we can all catch up. I know I would like that, and I know
I'm not alone.
So: Once more unto the breach, my friends? Who's with me?
