I just took a quick look at Picasa synchronization and I guess that's a feature of the Picasa photo editor. I've never used Picasa to upload to my web album which is probably why I've never run into any of the problems you've mentioned. It sounds like the synchronization features in Picasa are nice but if they don't work, maybe using the simple tools on the web site would be the way to go. Do you manually add the captions to each photo? I have a workaround that will use the file name as the caption if anyone is interested. It saves a lot of time if you already have the files named with the Hodges number at the beginning. The only drawback is that you have to apply it before you upload the photos. First before the Splitting problem , I'm constantly having synchronization problems when I upload photos from my files to the web alblums. 1. Photos are synchronized out of place ( Hodges Order) 2. Deletes don't take place 3. Albums are duplicated instead of synchronized . When I check the website I'll have two identical albums. One of which I have to delete. I thought the splitting of the 1000 photo album would be an easy cut and paste which would involve moving about 270 photos ( Noctuidae ) to a new second album . Nothing worked. I couldn't batch transfer . Albums froze up when I tried to delete photos and I couldn't delete the error messages , Duplications and half albums occurred on the web, Photos were out of order . Basically you name it and it happened . I ended up by creating two completely new albums. I may have done something initially wrong from the beginning ( I'm not a great directions reader ) but once I got into the mess there was no getting out of it . Paul
