Thanks for the information, Ken. I had never seen one of these before and the 
online photos did not seem nearly as transparent as my moth.

It looks relatively fresh. Their wings are normally semi-transparent.

Tonight I came across one of the most beautiful moths I have seen -- Palpita 
quadristigmalis. I suppose mine must be quite worn for the wings to be 
transparent, but I think this feature just adds to its appeal.
