Sure, Just put this in your GPS: 284 US 158 Elizabeth City NC
Here’s a good link to the South Mills NC rocket launch site:

Super big field. Amost 2 miles square. Our waiver is to 4,000’. I’ve busted
the altitude waiver accidentally with a K motor. Oops.
The problem with altitude there is that it’s near a Victor Airway intersection,
and the FAA is squirrly about us flying there in that corridor.
Nice field, but the club has to pay just over $100 per launch to the landowner
there.
Note, the Windsor site costs the club nothing, so it’s very cost effective,
now. Just not as much real estate.
Sincerely,
Jeff Goldstein

To all that reads this email, Greetings! Attached is our Certificate of
Authorization (COA). Notice we can have all Saturdays and Sundays through July
18th, 2021. However, we’re only planning on 1st and 3rd Saturdays of each
month.
We’re now officially a HP field at Heritage Park (FAA designated “Windsor”).
We’ve proved the field works well for LP/MP, now let’s burn some HP AP! For
those that are not aware, Heritage Park is the County Fairgrounds for Isle of
Wight County, and can accommodate rockets, provided their altitude is
relatively low! The good news is that there are no ditches to contend with!
I believe this will attract some NC and MDRA flyers, too. Even L1 and low L2’s
can make 3,400’ above the ground (3,500’ above mean sea level).
I think we can do J’s on a low wind day, too! I’ll bring an H motor for our
first HP Saturday launch on August 15th!
I think it’s well worth the $10 for HP fee for non-members. I hope we get some
Bayboro guys to come to our launches. Ken Allen will be able to make the 1st
Saturday launches, so that will attract many members and out of town members,
too!
For the very big projects, I suggest the South Mills, NC field when it opens
after crops are harvested, around October? Perhaps one launch a month from
there each month???
Let’s put the word out, ok?
Sincerely,
Jeff Goldstein
