Annoying news for those who like to stay over Saturday night in New Bern for
our 2-day launches. The rates at the Bridgepoint, even with the Rocket Club
Discount, have almost doubled. I made reservations for Sept 25 ($180) and
Oct 9 ($157). !!
I also did a quick scan of other New Bern Hotels and found
that the Bridgepoint is among the cheapest. [Unless you want to try the
prodigiously mis-named "Palace" Motel.] The driving distance to Havelock,
Kinston, or Little Washington is long. Oy veh!
