Hello again fellow rocketeers -
The nomination period for 2021 officer positions of Tripoli East North Carolina
is now closed. Thanks to all who participated in the process to raise
candidates. It is now time to vote for the nominated candidates, Please
carefully read this memo in its entirety to learn how to vote for your
candidate of choice.
Two names have been raised and seconded for the office of Prefect, Kurt Hesse
and Joe Hill. One name, Dennis Hill, was nominated and seconded for the office
of Secretary.
I declare Dennis Hill the winner for the position of Secretary in 2021 by
default. There will be no election runoff for Secretary.
An election runoff will now be conducted between Kurt and Joe for the office of
Prefect. Since my son is one of the candidates, I recuse myself from tabulating
votes. Alan Whitmore will be directly receiving and counting the votes and the
voting process will be conducted in private. Alan will communicate the vote
tallies to me and I will announce the results.
To vote for your candidate of choice for Prefect, please send a personal email
to Alan at acwhit@xxxxxxxxx by the end of January 24, 2021. Votes cast
anywhere else will not be counted. Put "Tripoli Election" in the subject field
to help Alan identify it in his inbox. Please keep your note brief and to the
point. I suggest saying something like "I vote for [name of candidate] as
Prefect of Tripoli East North Carolina in 2021. Please provide your name and
TRA number in your email.
Any TRA member subscribed to ncrockets@xxxxxxxxxxxxx is eligible to vote. Only
electronic votes will be accepted, no verbal votes. You may vote for only one
candidate and you may only vote one time. No votes can be changed after you
have cast your ballot.
Remember, electronically submit your vote to Alan at acwhit@xxxxxxxxx by the
end of January 24. I'll announce the winner shortly thereafter. Thanks, again,
for your participation. Good luck to both candidates and thanks to both Kurt
and Joe for their willingness to serve as prefect and for their bios.
