This looks very interesting, I believe I may just use this instead of
having XP on my system at all... Maybe I'll have both for a little
while and delete XP once I am sure ReactOS will take care of my needs.

Sorry for the delay; have had real life interfere with my ability to post a reply... I think we all have that happen occasionally.
ReactOS, http://www.reactos.org, is a new operating system with an interesting twist. Their prime goal is to create an open-source Windows. For those times when an application is needed but will not run under Wine, ReactOS is working on becoming binary-compatible with current Windows applications...
I have not had the opportunity to play with it, but from the screen shots on the web site, it looks very promising.
It gives me an excuse to set up VMWare server and play around with it locally.

This support has been around for a long time. I've used it to run DOS executables a long time ago... It's a nice feature, but don't expect too much from it, there are just too many Windows executables that won't/can't run under WINE. The only sure fire way to get complete support for Windows executables is to sue VMWare. Rob and I talked last night after the meeting and we mentioned that there is a project to create a binary compatible Open Source alternative to Windows. Rob, can you tell us more?
Chuck
