Hello fellow bandos!
It's ya boy Russell here with another Convention update! Get ready to pull
out your Oculus Rift as this year's Convention goes into Virtual Reality!
...wait sorry I've just been informed that Convention is virtual, but not
in virtual reality. So what does this mean for you? Well as Jenna said in
her last email, the business portion of Convention will be occurring this
Saturday, *April 4th starting at 10 AM EDT. *We encourage everyone to
attend if they are able. This first session will be an introduction to the
day and seating of delegates. We will be breaking at 10:30 to allow
delegates to have time to ask District Officer candidates any questions
they may have. At 11 is when all chapters will have an hour for caucus time.
*At noon we will begin the business of Convention starting with voting on
the budget, then on officers, and mixed within that will be
award presentations and officer final reports. *This portion of Convention
is the part we recommend all Brothers attend if they are interested in
tuning in. The way Convention will be broadcasted is as follows:
All delegates, District Council Members, Officer Candidates, National
Leadership Team Members, and Tech Team members will be on a Zoom call
throughout Convention. *Anyone else who wants to attend Convention will be
able to watch Convention on Facebook Live on the NCD Facebook page.* We are
doing it this way to make it easier on the Tech Team. It is highly
encouraged to tune in to this portion of the Convention as it will be a
time to celebrate the accomplishments that our Brothers have achieved
throughout the year.
If you want to look at the candidate packets, candidate address videos, and
proposed budget, they will be available on the NCD website and you can find
it under the KKPsi documents tab. If you have any questions about how this
weekend will work, please don't hesitate to reach out to me, the Council or
the Governors with questions. I hope to see many of you there, but if we
don't get to meet this weekend, thank you so much for an incredible two
