The NCD Governors & Counselors are excited to call for bids for the 2019
NCD Convention. Instructions for bidding, including Request for Proposal
(RFP) documents, can be found on the NCD website (kkytbsncd.org) under
Documents > Joint Documents. The first deadline for documents is 11:59pm
on March 7, 2018 so now is a great time to start!
FAQ:
1. There isn't a convention center nearby. Can I still bid for convention?
Absolutely! Requirements for space are included in the RFP. We encourage
you to investigate on-campus facilities, as well as, convention centers and
hotels.
2. How much will it cost the chapter(s) to host a convention?
From a financial perspective, the goal is to ensure your chapter(s) breaks
even on all convention expenses. Your budget will be reviewed and approved
at both the District and National level to ensure the minimum amount of
risk to your chapter's finances. Many chapters in the past have
successfully hosted convention without anything out of pocket from their
bank accounts.
3. Can chapters from multiple schools team up to submit a bid together?
Yes. This year we have hosts from three different schools in the area of
the convention center. Though this takes a little more communication and
planning, this allows chapters to divide tasks based on strengths and
chapter size. We encourage you to talk to your fellow brothers & sisters
to determine if this an option you would like to pursue.
