Friends!
I am encouraged by the downward trend of COVID-19 enough to begin thinking
about returning to in-person rehearsals.
I'm thinking - March 16th. Tentatively, as in 'penciled in', subject to change.
That will be the anniversary of our cancelled sing-out at Gruene Sr Living, and
hopefully we will have seen 5 more weeks of decreasing infections and
increasing vaccinations. Plus, it will give you 5 more weeks to re-memorize
'The Old Songs'.
You may recall our one attempt last fall to meet under COVID-19 protocols,
before the holiday surge erupted. I am confident that First Protestant Church
will allow us to return again under those same restrictions:
- We will meet in the Gymnasium at 7:00pm.
- We will wear masks at all times.
- We will line up in a single straight line, 6 ft apart.
- We will only meet/rehearse for 45 mins.
- We will not serve refreshments.
As the pandemic lessens, so shall our restrictions. Soon we'll be back to our
old form and ready to sing in public again.
