That’s what another friend said that perhaps the masks are stopping the
spread of other viruses. Like you say, there are so many different
opinions flying all over. It’s hard to keep track anymore. I don’t usually
get flu, but I have had it, when I had autoimmune disease issues, I was
sick every year, would usually end up in the hospital with pneumonia or
bronchitis. Since 2014, I’ve been ok, thank God. I’m not sure why, but I do
eat really healthy and take really good care of myself. Avoiding sugar and
processed food,gmos, etc, I also take a lot of supplements and drink a lot
of healthy green drinks every night. No one has ever really influenced my
decision about vaccines. I’ve never done them, even when my doctor
suggested pneumoniavax since I had so many problems with my lungs. Also, he
always recommended flu shots, I ditched him for a DO which I love cause he
doesn’t like drugs much either and works with the whole person, nutrition,
etc
If I had listened to the doctors who were treating me for churg Strauss
vasculitis, I would be dead now, I know that. There was really no hope
according to them, just a life of low dose chemo and other dangerous drugs,
no thanks….I did come to my own conclusion, I felt I’d rather just die than
live on the drugs they had me on for life, they broke my spirit and me. It
was a giant risk to stop them all, but I am free from them now. I just
never have trust main stream medical anything 🤷🏻♀️
I know you’ve seen a lot Laura, with your friends getting so sick with
covid. I’m so sorry, I know it hurts, we just haven’t seen it here.
Anyway, I pray it all goes away or we all become immune to it,

As for all the stories about false death numbers, people being counted as
Covid deaths when it was really something else, vaccinated people spreading
the virus without knowing they are carriers, horrible vaccine side effects
that are not being reported by main stream sources etc etc etc.......it's

many conspiracy theories floating around the internet, and "doctors"

their pastors say, what their doctors advise, what politicians are telling

newspaper....the list is endless. Not only that, but people tend to believe
what they want to believe as well, it's human nature.
I personally have seen far too much of the truly horrendous side of what
Covid has done to people I care about. You have not. Either way, it doesn't
make what I have seen any less true than what you have seen. I know many,
many people get Covid and don't get horribly ill. Some get really sick but
not sick enough to be hospitalized. Some end up in the ICU on vents and go
thru multiple organ failure. Some have long lasting side effects even after
they have recovered. My friend Art had Covid around 10 months or so
ago.....he is still on oxygen at home, and he has to carry a small tank
with him when they go somewhere. He had no health issues prior to Covid.
The fact is, this virus has killed thousands. We will never know the exact
numbers and I agree, the numbers could be skewed, but no matter how you
slice it, many people have died. Millions of people across the world. And a
lot of people can carry this virus and not even know they are carriers; but
that includes both the vaccinated and unvaccinated. But that's what masks
are for, and I know you don't wear them or think their effective, but I
believe while not 100% effective, *they do help at least minimize
exposure.*
In the late 1800's a physician noticed that his patients were developing
far less infections when he wore gloves to perform surgery. In the late
1800's and early 1900's the same sort of discovery was made by the use of
facemasks. If either of these things had been found to be ineffective,
there would be no need to use them. And back in those days despite the fact
that they didn't have the much more effective N95's we have today, they
were still seeing a greatly reduced number of infections.
Another thing to is, I have not had a cold or the flu since this pandemic
started. A lot of folks I know have said the same thing. I get sick every
year with one or the other or both and it inevitably turns into bronchitis.
Bruce on the other hand, rarely gets either of those. Could it be that my
wearing a facemask has helped me from catching those illnesses to?

Laura, that’s fine for those who chose to take the vaccine. I just don’t
believe with all my heart it should be in politics. Not ever.
My hubby and I and other friends chose not to take it for our own reasons,
I also don’t believe that the side effects are even reported and many are
hidden, just like causes of death being covid and perhaps the person died
of a heart attack and had heart problems prior to getting covid. I also
see a lot of people are in the Er room who have been fully vaccinated and
maybe spread the vaccine ever more because they don’t even know they have
it and running around anyway. If I am sick, I stay home anyway.
And it’s ok we we don’t believe the same way, most people won’t die of
covid who get it vaccinated or not. Most people will go home or stay home
when they don’t feel well and hopefully won’t spread it, I was told by a
few friends that to them it wasn’t even as bad as the flu.
Opinions run rampant in our world now, more than ever, I see one side
pitted against the other when we really must stay United.

have been concerns about the safety of vaccines for as long as they have
been available. Every vaccine, every prescription written by our doctors,
even some OTC drugs, have the potential to cause death for a handful of
people. Thats always been true and will always be true. And look at all the
lawsuits popping up every day....people are dying from cancer because they
had been taking Zantac for heartburn for pete's sake! Anymore, you don't
know what's going to kill you. You don't hear much chatter about these
drugs or the people who died from them though....everyone is too
hyper-focused on the issues surrounding Covid. But the fact is, a death is
a death and we should be equally concerned no matter what drug caused it.
I decided to be brave and go get my hair layered yesterday morning as soon
as Great Clips opened their doors to avoid a crowd. Bruce had cut off about
10 inches of length for me as it was driving me nuts, but I couldn't do
much with it without it being layered. The gal who did my hair was very
nice and I appreciate that all of the employees wear masks. But a couple
minutes into my cut, I noticed she had cold-like symptoms, which she
explained were allergies. Even so, that had me a little concerned. During
the usual chit chat, I told her I was waiting on the Moderna boosters to
come out and that's when she informed me that she was not vaccinated,
doesn't believe in it and that Covid is "just like the flu". I remained
seated and courteous but honestly, I could not get out of there fast
enough. We have lost loved ones to Covid, we have friends and family who
have also lost loved ones to Covid. Their deaths were not quick or easy,
one of them lingered for 32 days in the ICU as one organ after the other
went into complete failure. She was throwing so many blood clots, they
couldn't keep up with them all. "Just like the flu"??? I don't think so,
not for them, and not for countless others who have died from Covid either.
This young hair stylist had no way of knowing what I have been through but
being told this is "just like the flu" was hard to hear nonetheless.
Honestly, for those who have been thru the horrors of losing someone to
this, and for all the nurses and doctors who have held the hands of dying
patients during this pandemic, hearing someone minimize it by comparing
Covid to the flu is extremely insensitive. Even if it's been your personal
experience that Covid made you or someone you know only mildly ill, the
whole world is well aware of how horrible this virus has been to others.
That young lady needs some sensitivity training.
Needless to say, I will not be going back to Great Clips to get my hair
cut again, which is unfortunate because they've always done a good job with
my hair.
