It's kind of eerie out tonight, I did my last number of laps a little bit ago
out there. The air is very, very heavy, black clouds are moving in, it's quite
warm, and I stopped walking to listen to some birds making the oddest noises
that lasted for about 5 minutes. I could not see what kind they were, I assumed
they were all up in the surrounding trees. In any case, it's a sound I have
never heard before. Some of the turtles are acting off to. The animals know
when something is "off" as we humans move about doing our daily routines, most
of us oblivious to the changes. Both mine and Bruce's sinuses feel like they
are under a lot of pressure right now, probably because the barometric pressure
is dropping to the lowest it's ever been in recorded history for this part of
the country. News reports say the winds may not be as bad inland as previously
expected, but we're as ready as we can be.....
