</div>Yes the vet started treating him right away for ear infection and EC
-- he’s finishing up his 28 days of Panacur. I’m still using cold laser,
shining down in his ears. He hates it but he gets treats so he puts up
with it. I’ve never used TMZ Tribrissen, but it’s safe for rabbits
I guess so fingers crossed.

for the update on Frodo; I was wondering how he's doing. This is
encouraging, and I will keep him on the list and in my prayers. Did the
vet mention anything about a concurrent EC infection? I mention that
because EC can be opportunistic, and with his defenses down it's
possible. Are you still using the laser? I hope he will show
improvement with each day. Keep us posted.</span>

</div>Yesterday the vet said there was significantly less pus and wax
in Frodo’s ears. She said to stop Baytril and Pen-G shots and instead give TMZ
tribrissen 0.65ml orally 2/day. He’s still dizzy and has trouble walking
when I put him on his feet (has weak back left leg and goes in circles, some
are big circles and sometimes he stands for a bit). He sleeps a lot and always
lays in a croissant shape. 🥐.

Please put Frodo on the prayer list (or update his issue).
For the past 2 weeks he has head some tilt and lots of dizziness and
considerable trouble walking from a double ear infection. The antibiotics
(first Baytril oral, only 1 injection of Pen G, Baytril topical ear drops,
Panacur, then a week later (last week) we added daily injections of Pen-G) are
not killing the infection. I have trouble putting in the ear drops, but
they seem to be getting down in there, although I’m never sure if it’s getting
down into the ear canal /ear drum or in the other cavern that doesn’t go
anywhere. Vet says it’s a “sterile infection” and antibiotic isn’t
crossing the blood brain barrier. The vet is asking a compounding
pharmacist if there is anything topical we can put in his ears. She also may
try steroid ear drops as a last resort before we PTS. I’m aware that he is 9 ½
years old, so we are trying to figure out if he can be cured, at least enough
to have a good quality of life. We started Reglan injections yesterday to get
gut moving. He started eating again last night and today without being
force-fed, so maybe we can keep him stable enough to give the antibiotics more
time. He sleeps a lot and still grooms himself and sometimes his bonded mate
too. He loves his greens and will eat a whole garden if I let him, but
vet said only 2 cups a day, less if he gets diarrhea. I hope the vet can
find a topical drug that will help. The vet is going to loan us a UV
laser to use on his ears twice a day. Please also pray for me as
I’m having some health issues and am stressed out.
