Oh ok, I never used these,i always used the reusable ones as I always had a
lot of leveret hares that needed warming, and never had a problem with them
eating them, of course I put in a zippered pillow,slip in their area which
was just a small kennel....while healing.
How weird it has the same ingredients. As I read the others have toxic
ingredients and not good for our environment which of course at the time no
one knew,

The brand I have here is HeatMax and the 72 hour warmers I also have are
sold by The Bean Farm. The reason for the concern about toxicity is with
certain species, ingesting the iron, salt and even vermiculite can cause
some real problems, even death if consumed. This is why I put mine in
fleece pockets the turtles can't get into, though I would be hard pressed
to see a small turtle having any desire to chew on one of these, I can
imagine a larger tortoise might try. When I first made my sheet on keeping
reptiles warm with these, someone mentioned toxic fumes....I could not find
anything, anywhere, that indicated these create toxic fumes, but I am not a
chemist so I don't know if these ingredients could collectively create
something to be concerned about, but suggest if that is a concern, adequate
ventilation holes should be made (but I would recommend that regardless).
Personally, I would very cautious using these with a dog except under close
supervision.

Malachi has a nice, comfortable set up in his travel crate, Laura. I can
see what a Malachi fan Tracy is; what an adorable pic. I hope the rads

So, we just rolled in, traffic was AWFUL going up to Seattle so it's a
good thing we gave ourselves a solid 2 hours to get there. Nothing much to
tell except the rads are being sent out to the radiologist. There is still
some barium in him but it's still sitting up high for the most part so not
sure if they were able to get optimum images. Tracy wants me to get some
food into him to try and push it thru his system. This gal here is quite
the Malachi fan so I snapped a picture of her. 🙂
On the way home, there was a middle-aged guy driving in a convertible of
all things.....it's COLD out, still snow on the ground here and there, and
it was raining pretty good from Seattle all the way to Tacoma and he didn't
even have a heavy coat, hat or gloves on, just a light jacket. Crazy!
