We need new subflooring.....going to look for the cheapest possible materials.
At least this room isn't very big.

Hi Laura,
I am so sorry that Malachi has been at the animal hospital for the last two
weeks. It is so stressful with the worry and waiting. I pray the issue will be
something that can be taken care of and he will be fine....he will remain on
the prayer list....as will Annie. I hope you will be able to get some good
info on your groups to help Annie with her health issues.
Keeping busy is a good idea; you and Bruce get so much done, and redoing the
back room will bring you such satisfaction when it is finished. I hope you get
that soft underlayment problem figured out.
Thanks for the update.
With love,
Roberta

Hi Roberta,
Thank you for asking about our boy. ❤️ Malachi has been at the animal hospital
for 2 solid weeks now! (This is his 2nd time back there.) They are trying to do
a barium contrast study on him because it appears, he has a blockage of some
sort in his intestines, or it could be his tiny shell is compressing down on
his organs. He isn't pooping hardly at all, and barely peeing. Bloodwork showed
normal kidney values however. I have been a nervous wreck worrying about him
and have no idea when he will be back home or what is wrong with him yet, and
what the treatment might be. He is way up north in Seattle and its anywhere
from an hour to 3 hours one way to get up there, depending on traffic so we
have not seen him, but if he needs surgery, we will go up and see him first.
In the meantime, we have been trying to stay busy remodeling this back bedroom
we use for an office. "Remodel" may be too strong a word, basically we ripped
everything out of here except my desk and computer, painted the walls and
ripped the old carpet up. We have enough vinyl planking let over from the
kitchen 4 years ago so the plan is to lay that down in here. We didn't expect
however to find soft subfloors so now we have to address that. All the painting
is done and it looks so nice. This room was a train wreck after years of having
wall to wall bunny enclosures and my house hen's enclosure, tons of storage.
And it was still had the original decor I did in here for my 2-year-old foster
son, with glow in the dark stars all over the ceiling and cartoon dragon
wallpaper trim. It was time for a change. Now we have a mountain of stuff
taking up half the living room that was carried out of here that has to be gone
thru.....my hope is to get rid of the majority of it. It sure will be nice when
this is all over and done with, but we're old so it's taking time.
The rest of the time has been spent working with Annie's health issues on the 2
new canine kidney and liver lists I belong to, readjusting what I cook for her
and getting her back in for yet more testing.....and researching, endless
researching.
Blessings,
Laura Mowrey

Laura,
How is Malachi doing? I think I must have missed something because I remember
you mentioning you were picking him up. Was he at the vet's again? I will
keep him in my prayers.
Love,
Roberta
