I use to help rehab raccoons and they were so sweet and intelligent. So I
am partial to them. I know my main critters were rehabbing hares and wild
rabbits. The wild is not like our domestic critters. And like Roberta says
I hope one day there will be no more killing life and same with people who
kill amimals to eat. Racoons will hunt if food is not readily available
but it’s not usual for,them to kill a cat, they are omnivores like foxes
but I guess like any critter will kill if they need to eat, sorry about her
bunny, was it at night? I haven’t seen raccoons in the day and would never
let my bunnies out at night, or even our dog for that matter as we get
mountain lions who will kill any critter here, domestic animals have to be
protected and why I don’t believe rabbits, dogs or cats should be outside.
I do know cats have also killed many of the rabbits and hares that I
rescued and weren’t even hungry. So they shouldn’t be lose either, not to
mention they can be killed as my neighbors 17 year old cat was literally
decapitated by a bobcat but she wouldn’t listen when I told her it was
dangerous for her cat to be loose. It also preyed on our birds.
I just wish the world wasn’t that way but now it is, I hope god makes a big
change here and there will be no more killing each other for. food.

and she let him out one night in her block fenced in back yard to run
around a little bit and she stepped inside the house for a little bit and
when she came back out her bunny had been killed by a raccoon. She used to
make sweat shirts and Tee shirts for people. I have a tee shirt and a
sweat shirt that shows Riley standing in a Viking ship and it says Riley
the Viking Bun. He has a little Viking helmet on with the horns on it. “I
hab an attitude and I know how to use it” I bought it about 20 years ago.
That is when her bunny died.

the food. I never even thought raccoons ate cats. How horrible. That’s the

animal. Yes I wish she had reported him to the police too. Especially since
it was so cold. Me being a suspicious person makes me wonder why he would
be crying about being reported to the police. I wonder if he was wanted by
the police for something else and was afraid of getting caught. I watch
that on these police shows. They catch people with 5 or 6 warrants for
their arrest. Or people with a suspended license who have been driving for
9 years.

Thanks Cheryl, sadly the little cat never turned up for food last night
- a darn raccoon got it - I know it was a raccoon as they make a mess
and toss the bowls everywhere.
One of my neighbors had a cat dumped on her - and her surveillance camera
captured it and she was able to get his license plate number and find him -
she said he was so scared and begged her not to go to the police
Apparently -his mother had died and he didn't want her cat and he dumped it
on this woman because she had a bird rescue and his mother had liked her.
She kept the kitty and still has it. But she scared the heck out of
him...wish she had reported him ot he police though,.

Thank you Roberta and Cheryl...the little cat has not been here for the
past two nights -which worries me as he/she wont make it unless he/she has
a fullbelly. I have left food out everywhere and not a bite has been
taken. I hope and pray he hasn't frozen to death. My neighbor over the
road has an open sun room and she said she will put a blanket on the couch
there in case the little cat visits her place. Fred has been going round
putting boxes every where, he said he can't stand to think of the little
cat being out in this cold...neither can I. I would like to see people who
do this put in jail,

I hope so Roberta... I have told him about the kitty that has been dumped
on me and told him I had a home for the kitty, and he was fine -but now
the woman who said she would take the kitty has changed her mind...I
haven't told Fred about that. I just worry so much about a littlle cat
being out in this bitter cold. snow and ice...I have a cat door to y
garage and i got Fred to make it assessible for a stray kitty,,and put food
by it and inside the garage =- I hope the kittty willf ind it,.
