Thanks a lot! I successfully managed to install Nama.
When I start it, I get the following output after the greating:
Starting...
Found config file: /home/lrs/.namarc
Found existing Ecasound server on port 2868
Creating socket on port 2868.
Regenerating effects data cache
gverb: effect not found, cannot create shortcut
reading user customization file /home/lrs/nama/customize.pl
Does the `gverb: effect not found, cannot create shortcut' indicate an
error?
No, it's an example of a convenience feature that comes with
the default .namarc.
I created a test project and imported an wav file. When I press space
to play, I can't hear anything. The command `ecasound <filename>.wav'
sounds correctly. Any ideas?
Please look at the output of the 'chains' command to see the Ecasound
chain setup.
You can post it here.
If I then type `chains', I get:
ERROR: Unknown command!
Hi Lars,
'chains' is a Nama command. You wrote that you tried a test
project, but got no sound output. In Nama, you use 'chains'
to see what Nama is attempting. The 'show-tracks' command
('show' for short) gives a overall picture.

Joel
