Hi Kirk,
I can reproduce your issue here. It looks like a bug in ecasound
version 2.9.1. Nama depends on the output from the various
ecasound *-register commands to detect available plugins,
however these commands are not sending their output reliably
to Nama. I've reported the issue to the author of ecasound.
For you, the easiest workaround would be to get a copy
of the file .effects_cache.json and copy it to ~/nama/ .
I've attached a copy of this file for your convenience.
At least you will be able to get started.
Because the file was not generated on your system, it
possible that some of the LADPSA plugins listed by the
Nama 'find-effect' command may not be available to you.
I will also work toward a long-term solution to avoid
similar issues in future.
