Hi Namites,
Logging isn't done yet, but the code cleanup is meaningful
enough that I thought I'd go ahead and merge.
The only difference for end-users (that I know about) is
that you need Log::Log4perl installed (Debian:
liblog-log4perl-perl) and you'll get a Log4perl-related
warning.
