[muglo] What is error M501 - and how do I get around it?

HI you all,
Curious problem: after starting up iTunes on my wife's , iMac the printer
(Canon S630) refuses to print in Classic mode giving the message " BJ Print
Monitor cannot start due to error M501".
Works Ok with applications in OSX, though. Problem is my wife works
exclusively in Classic mode (Word 5.1, QXpress 3.3, Photoshop 5.0). Have
been searching the net for solutions but can't even find out what error M501
means.
Anyone recognize this problem? Much grateful for any help. Just imagine what
this is doing to my marriage... :=)
